Sustainability
Our approach to sustainable development is based on the idea of a circular economy. We extend the life of the product by consciously using quality materials and the best design practices.
How do we care for the
environment
01.
We are using renewable materials
Solid wood
Solid wood is not only a renewable material but also,as it grows, it absorbs carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and builds it into its structure.
Products made of wood become a natural storehouse of greenhouse gases.
Our products are available in 3 kinds of wood: white maple, natural walnut, natural oak.
Plywood
The vast majority of plywood is made of wood veneers, and only a small percentage of the mass (max 25%) are synthetic adhesives.
Plywood
Plywood is a composite consisting few thin sheets of wood glued together (so-called veneers). Due to the arrangement of the veneers at an angle of 90 °, plywood is more durable and stable than solid wood.
The vast majority of plywood is made of wood veneers, and only a small percentage of the mass (max 25%) are synthetic adhesives.
Cork
Cork is the bark of the cork oak. It is obtained by tearing bark patches off the surface of the tree. This process is not harmful to the plant and can be repeated over and over again. Therefore it is a renewable source.
Our products are available in 2 kinds of cork: expanded cork, natural cork.
Stainless steel
Despite many advantages, the production and recycling of steel are very energy– consuming, so we try to minimise its consumption in our products.
Stainless steel
Stainless steel is an alloy of iron and carbon. It is a material that can be permanently recyclable, and in addition, in most countries, there is a common and cost-effective system for its collection and recycling.
Despite many advantages, the production and recycling of steel are very energy– consuming, so we try to minimise its consumption in our products.
02.
We extend the product life cycle
03.
We cut down on energy and resource use
Responsible production
We try to minimize the number of processes and material consumption at the production stage, whichs imultaneously results in our furniture's minimalist aesthetics.
All elements of our products are detachable, so they can be packed in flat packages, significantly reducing energy consumption during transport.
